BLOSSOM aims to enhance women adults’ individual scope of action in the labour market and other areas of life by providing the full, interactive and innovative training approach together with assessment tool which will provide the necessary feedback on needs and new skills and competencies acquired. Our FOCUS is the ACQUISITION or IMPROVEMENT of BUSINESS LITERACY, NUMERACY AND DIGITAL SKILLS of ADULT LOW-QUALIFIED WOMEN. In particular, the challenge of massive UNEMPLOYMENT that forces the target to be more entrepreneurial and better skilled to find appropriate work or start their own business.
The following priorities of adult education will be realized with the implementation of the BLOSSOM project:
- Improving the availability of high-quality learning opportunities for adults.
- Addressing digital transformation through development of digital readiness, resilience and capacity.
- Creating upskilling pathways, improving accessibility and increasing take-up of adult education.
BLOSSOM objectives
The overall objective of BLOSSOM is to improve learning opportunities of adult women with low qualifications by strengthening their basic competences as literacy, numeracy and digital skills focused on business development.
BLOSSOM specific objectives are to:
- Identify the needs of adult women on business development skills as business literacy, numeracy and digital skills.
- Support adult low qualified women integration into the labour market and social inclusion.
- Encourage low-skilled women to develop business projects by effective and innovative learning outcomes.
- Increase female entrepreneurship and improve women´s professional qualifications.
- Develop the capacity of adult women and supporting organisations in entrepreneurship.
- Develop basic and transversal skills.
- Support ICT-based teaching and ICT-based assessment practices.
- Perform a validation analysis of needs and gaps as for capacity of low-qualified women and their need.
BLOSSOM target groups
- BLOSSOM is for adult low-qualified women and experts, providers or policymakers in adult education.
- The main target group of BLOSSOM are adult low-qualified women, including those that are unemployed, misemployed, students or in situation of exclusion.
- The broader audience of the project is also adult providers, adult leaders, national/regional authorities.
